5 years later, what I have learned

As a Pet Photographer and dog owner, I am often asked about the things I do with my dog or what I recommend others can do with their dog. While not all pet owners are the same, not everyone wants to get their dog involved in dog sports, or take their dog out to a restaurant, the one thing we all have in common is how much we love our pets.

This gave me an idea, since I spend a lot.. and when I say a lot I mean a tremendous amount of time, with my dog doing lots of things she and I can do together. I thought, why not share these things with my customers and followers so they too can enjoy some of the things Finn and I already find fantastic!!

This inaugural blog will focus on 4 businesses in Southern NH that Finn and I have had the pleasure of working with or visiting. I hope at the end of this blog you learn of a new business that piques your interest and potentially helps you or your pet.

In no particular order, I present you with this blogs 4 businesses.

1) Mall at Fox Run

Did you know that this mall located at 50 Fox Run Road, Suite 128, Newington, NH and has been in business since 1983 (ugh I was in Junior High School)?Besides providing retail therapy, entertainment, restaurants, health and beauty services they have been dog friendly since May of 2021.

2) Long Blue Cat Brewing Co.

On a nice warm summer day, I love sitting on the patio of this brewery enjoying one of their delicious brews with my dogs. Located at 298 Rockingham Rd in Londonderry NH, this little gem has been around for less than 5 years. Their staff is wonderful, they truly love their customers, even their 4 legged ones. They do lots of events each year to support local dog shelters, VA clinics, Police dogs, and small businesses geared toward dogs and pets.

3) American K9 Country

Finn and I have done lots of training and trialing at this facility. We’ve also attended their Holiday parties (pre COVID). They truly love their customers!! Located at 336 State Route 101 in Amherst NH, this dog facility offers so many services, from daycare, boarding, training, agility, obedience, k9 rehab, grooming and dock diving (my personal favorite!). Their training focus is around dog communication and positive reinforcement, they truly know how to make dogs HAPPY! They have been around since 2003 and continue to offer so many options for you and your dog.

4) NH Dog Walking Club

Another group of dog folks that Finn and I have had the pleasure of joining on many fun excursions. Having been around for 5 years, and working out of Barrington NH, this club focuses on creating fun and unique experiences for dogs and their people. What makes this group special is that they are a community of dog lovers, dog owners, pet professionals, who believe that time spent in the natural world reduces stress, increases happiness, and improves the health of dogs and their people. Their vision is to build a community of dog owners who are dedicated to the health and wellness of their pets using positive reinforcement techniques and sustainable pet care practices.
