April Customer Spotlight
In late 2014 I began an adventure to focus on improving my health and lifestyle. After spending a few years working 40+ hours a week and going back to college full time, I lost focus on myself. So I signed up at a gym for a personal trainer. While this month’s customer spotlight was not my initial trainer, she later became that but also became much more. She and I developed a great friendship, and she is genuinely a fantastic individual, which is why I wanted to spend a moment sharing a bit about her and her connection with Point and Shoot Photography.
Cynthia Walker, co-owner of Inner Athlete, LLC and dog lover, and I met while she and her significant other were personal trainers at a local gym. Their goal was to open their own private personal training studio and continue to offer private one-to-one services to their customers. Because of her love of helping people and her warm heart, she has achieved her goals with her training studio.
Cynthia also had this sweet older guy named George; she often told me about their hiking adventures. I had always hoped to meet him one day. I was fortunate to meet him, but it was close to the end of his life as George was getting older and his body was slowing down. Cynthia invited me over to her home since George could not make any trips anywhere for a photoshoot. I was honored to capture some sweet memories of her and her boy, which you can see here. Nothing was more tear-provoking than this experience; it warmed my heart and created much sadness. I was ever so grateful that I could provide her with these treasures.
Fast forward to March of 2022 with the introduction of Oakley, a handsome high energetic Chocolate Lab pup. While this is not a professional photo, I had to snap a quick picture on my phone when I went over to Cynthia’s house to meet this new arrival.
After about a month of seeing friends on Facebook with new puppy photos, I got an idea! I am currently working on a project that will take all of 2022 to complete, it's called Puppy Stages, to give you a hint. Cynthia volunteered Oakley to be a part of this project, and here is one of the photos we took. You will have to wait until the project concludes to see the results. I know, I am evil :)
I want to thank Cynthia for being a part of Point and Shoot Photography; when asked to share her experience with others who may read this blog, she wants everyone to know a couple of pieces of advice.
If you worry your dog, especially a senior dog, won’t sit long enough for a photo, you may be surprised. “Toni’s experience allows her to be quick with taking photos and knew how to keep my senior dog George interested.”
My advice would be, “Share your ideas but keep an open mind to the advice of the profession you are working with.”
